"At times, an event will occur that stimulates an emotion like anger that starts to well up from within.

Instead of focusing on the stimulus of the current event, take a moment to reflect how this external occurrence is triggering a memory of the past that is similar, unresolved, and charged with the same emotional reaction as this present day episode.

By refocusing your attention from this external stimulus to a state of internal reflection, you can begin to see how your unresolved perceptions are influencing your current emotions.

Thus, you can use this opportunity of awareness, to heal yourself of these past unresolved experiences and find resolution to current day stressors

"Our brains can only focus on one emotional aspect in any given moment; when we insist on focusing on what is wrong in our lives, we become unable to see the things that are positive around us.  Change your focus to the blessings of your life and your troubles will pale. " ~SB~

“In order to heal from the experience of feeling unloved, unwanted, and uncared for; you must first recognize and witness the depth and profoundness of your inner sorrow. You then must step up to become the nurturing healer to your own wounded self, bringing love and wholeness to your life, as nothing outside of yourself can ever fill those perceived voids. “ ~SB~
